About T.A.E.I.L. Community

A public place to learn, connect, and help shape what comes next.

T.A.E.I.L. Community is the public participation and learning space connected to T.A.E.I.L. It brings together questions, lived experience, resources, and relationships around grief, remembrance, preparation, celebration, continuity, and mutual care.

Why this community exists

Some of life’s most important conversations arrive too late—or not at all.

Grief, care, memory, legacy, preparation, celebration, and belonging affect everyone, yet people are often left to navigate them alone. T.A.E.I.L. Community is an early public space for making those conversations more thoughtful, more humane, and less isolating.

“We are building carefully, listening widely, and making room for the living as well as those they remember.”

Our role

Participation before platform.

This is not a finished service. It is an invitation to learn, share perspectives, and help establish the relationships and safeguards needed before any future interactive features are considered.

What we are here to do

  • Create public learning resources and thoughtful starting points
  • Listen to lived experience around grief, care, preparation, celebration, and remembrance
  • Connect with community organizations, practitioners, educators, and aligned initiatives
  • Invite careful feedback that can help guide the broader T.A.E.I.L. work

What guides our approach

  • Ask rather than assume
  • Respect consent, privacy, and individual wishes
  • Recognize cultural, spiritual, religious, secular, and personal diversity
  • Build safeguards and accountability before launching participatory tools

How we are beginning

A slower, more careful foundation.

Before launching interactive community features, we are working through the practical and ethical foundations that make participation safer and more useful.

1

Listen

Hear from people with lived experience, care roles, community knowledge, and practical insight.

2

Learn

Share public resources and questions that support better conversation without pretending to have every answer.

3

Connect

Build relationships with organizations, practitioners, educators, and mission-aligned partners.

4

Safeguard

Develop clear privacy, consent, moderation, and participation boundaries before introducing new features.

Clear boundaries are part of care

What T.A.E.I.L. Community is not.

Being public-facing does not mean being a substitute for private, professional, emergency, or community-specific support.

  • Not a live member platform, member directory, invitation system, or private memorial database
  • Not a crisis hotline, emergency service, therapy provider, legal service, or medical service
  • Not an authority on religious, cultural, or spiritual traditions
  • Not a place where public interest gives access to private spaces or another person’s information
  • Not a substitute for the guidance of people and communities someone has chosen to involve

Take part

Bring your perspective, care, or capacity.

You do not need to be an expert to help build a more thoughtful public culture around the things that matter most.
